2. Applications
- An ideal general purpose vapor degreasing fluid
- Effective on a wide range of soils including oils, greases, waxes, hydraulic fluids and silicone residue
- Also used as a defluxer
- Replaces trichloroethylene (TCE) and n-propyl bromide (nPB)
- Used as a substitute for aqueous cleaners when lower costs, higher throughput, smaller equipment footprint and/or enhanced cleaning performance are the primary concerns

3. Environmental Legislation
- Vertrel™ SDG has negligible ozone depletion potential and low global warming potential.
- Vertrel™ SDGA is accepted by the EPA under the SNAP program as a substitute for ozone-depleting substances.
- The components of Vertrel™ MCA are listed in the TSCA inventory. One component, HFC-43-10mee, is subject to the Significant New Use Rule (SNUR) and should be used only in the indicated applications. See SDS Regulatory Section.
- Vertrel™ SDG is not a hazardous air pollutant (HAP) and, therefore, not subject to NESHAP regulation. Vertrel™ MCA is not included in the SARA Title III Section 313 list of toxic chemicals and is not subject to SARA Title III (EPCRA) reporting requirements.
